British heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will be facing Bulgarian professional boxer, Kubrat Pulev, in a championship match at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Joshua talks about his ‘style’, ahead of the game scheduled on October 28.
Joshua was pitted against Wladimir Klitschko, the Ukrainian professional boxer on April 2017 at Wembley Stadium, U.K.
Joshua, post his victory, addressed the media saying that he would be changing styles for the upcoming match. The British boxing champion is known for his ‘brute force’. Joshua said in an interview, “I am looking forward to expressing a different approach to my boxing skills. It’s about finesse and out-classing your opponent.”
According to Rob McCracken, the British boxing champion’s trainer, Joshua is aware of the mistakes he made during the Klitschko fight.
Klitschko’s ‘finesse’ temporarily disabled Joshua. He remained static for a split second.
Joshua mentioned, “Inculcating Ukrainian boxer’s tactics might facilitate his future victories.”
“Wladimir was lunging ahead and I was going backwards, reeling from the tension on my shoulders,” Joshua added.
The British heavyweight champion was assessing the Ukrainian boxer’s move with the aim to defeat Pulev.
According to Anthony Joshua, Pulev’s experience might enable him to dodge his brute move, but Joshua will ‘use finesse’ to disguise the punches which he hopes will destabilize Pulev.
The Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev championship on October, 2017 will have Joshua’s IBF, WBA, and IBO heavyweight titles on the line.
The upcoming event currently sold out over 70,000 tickets, which were available at a reasonable rate. The premium seats are still available for sale. There are currently less than 200 tickets left.
